Shanghai
International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC) recently concluded its 8-day “Future
Designer” Camp for teenagers aged 8-16. The intensive program systematically
developed participants' foundational fashion design skills through
theory-practice integration.

The
comprehensive curriculum guided students through the entire design process,
from fashion illustration and creative fabric manipulation - including
specialized wool felting and handloom techniques - to practicing intangible
cultural heritage crafts like traditional Chinese knot buttons and mastering
basic draping methods. Participants also received essential junior modeling
training to prepare for the culminating event, where they confidently presented
their self-designed haute couture dresses at the final showcase.

Through
hands-on modules including mood board creation, material transformation and
garment construction, students experienced the complete creative workflow from
concept to runway. The graduation show impressed attendees with its display of
distinctive personal aesthetics and original designs.

As
part of SIFEC's recurring youth programming, this initiative provides
professional fashion enlightenment education. The immersive curriculum helps
students understand industry requirements while developing innovative thinking
and practical abilities. SIFEC will continue curriculum optimization to better
cultivate emerging talent for China's fashion industry.
