From May 8 to 10, Shanghai International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC) was invited to participate in the E-Fashion Business Expo (EFB), co-hosting four public lectures focused on empowering the fashion industry through education.
With the 2025 theme “Education Empowers Transformation”, this year's EFB aimed to promote innovation in the fashion supply chain across talent, technology, and strategy. As a professional fashion education institution with 70 years of history, SIFEC brought its resources to the exhibition floor, bridging academic insights with industry needs.
Lecture Highlights
1.“Coexistence: AI and the Fashion Industry”
JIN Hongyuan, Dean of the Digital Fashion College at SIFEC, explored AI's practical applications in fashion, from data-driven forecasting to blockchain-enabled supply chain transparency.
2.“2025 Spring/Summer Trends: Styles and Color Combinations”
Color specialist Lumy analyzed the seasonal style directions and shared advanced color matching techniques to help brands capture key trends.
3.“Fabric Planning: Bridging Design and Supply Chain”
SUN Lina, consultant at Shangxin Fashion, shared strategies for selecting and organizing materials to optimize both creativity and commercial success.
4.“Leveraging Data for Customer Loyalty: A Deep-Dive into Product Review Methodology”
WANG Mengjia, fashion data strategist and partner at Shangxin Fashion, presented a systematic approach to analyzing seasonal product performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Over the three-day expo, SIFEC extended its educational mission beyond the classroom, connecting fashion education with the evolving needs of the industry and contributing to the cultivation of future-ready talent.
