Recently, SIFEC Chairman Lv Wenjun led a delegation to Hangzhou to visit MUKZIN and Wansheli Tech, exploring how they leverage AI to drive design, smart operations, and retail innovations like virtual fitting.

Recognizing that human capital is key to industry transformation, SIFEC aims to keep professionals aligned with AI advancements. Through face-to-face discussions with industry leaders, the delegation seeks to translate real-world AI insights into practical steps that empower the next generation of fashion talent.

MUKZIN: Breathing Digital Life into China-Chic Fashion Through AI

The delegation visited MUKZIN, a pioneering "China-chic" brand founded in Hangzhou in 2014. Known for blending ancient cultural elements with modern design, it is the first Chinese independent label to showcase at the international "Big Four" fashion weeks.

During the visit, the team explored MUKZIN's use of AI in creative design, fabric R&D, and pattern generation, praising its innovative fusion of traditional cultural IP with AI technology.

Discussions also focused on AI-era talent. Both sides agreed that modern designers must combine aesthetic judgment with technical skills to thrive in human-machine collaboration. Consequently, SIFEC and MUKZIN agreed to collaborate on training versatile designers equipped for the smart fashion industry.

Wansheli Tech: Reshaping Retail with AI Virtual Fitting and Smart Sizing

The delegation's second stop was Hangzhou Wansheli Tech, a company revolutionizing smart retail. During a live demo, the team experienced an AI smart fitting mirror powered by proprietary 3D vision technology. In just 10 seconds, the system captures over 50 key body measurements to generate a personalized 3D avatar. This drives a "four-in-one" platform integrating virtual try-ons, 3D sizing, style analysis, and store management.

Delegation leaders praised the technology for solving traditional fitting pain points and encouraged further R&D. They also emphasized integrating this AI fitting tech with the international trade operations of Oriental International Group, aiming to leverage technological innovation to help Chinese apparel brands expand more efficiently into the global market.
