To enhance the professional skills of designers and patternmakers, and strengthen communication within the teams, Shanghai International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC) recently conducted a tailored training program for Shanghai Garment (Group) Co., Ltd during Dec. 2024.

Founded in 1995, Shanghai Garment Group focuses on fashion innovation, sustainability, and industry growth. The company operates several brands like “Smart” “T&A” “DaDi” and integrates digital technology to transform the fashion landscape.

Boosting Team Communication Skills: The training emphasized enhancing communication skills to align design and production, ensuring smoother collaboration and more efficient garment development.

Enhancing Designers' Technical Skills: Patternmakers were trained to better grasp design concepts, focusing on garment structure, ergonomics, and material properties, which helped improve the design-to-sample process.

Elevating Pattern- Makers' Aesthetic Sense: Designers gained insights into the technical aspects of patternmaking, helping them understand how their creative concepts are realized in the final garment.

This training equipped participants with essential skills, enhancing both technical and aesthetic knowledge. During the graduation ceremony, both SIFEC's expert instructors and leaders from Shanghai Garment Group acknowledged the significant progress achieved, highlighting the program's positive impact on team collaboration and overall performance.
