In September 2024, Tim Xu, Vice President of the Shanghai International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC), together with International School team, embarked on a 10-day fashion education exchange tour to the UK, Italy, and France, aiming to promote educational internationalization and foster deeper cooperation with leading fashion institutions.
London: Fashion Model Innovations
On September 18, the delegation visited Istituto Marangoni London to discuss potential partnerships for the 2+2 program and postgraduate studies, establishing a foundation for future student exchanges. Later, they met with Roger, Head of the Media Department at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, to explore academic pathways for art students and innovative teaching methods.

Milan: Fashion Technology Innovations
On September 20, the delegation visited Istituto Marangoni Milan to discuss student training and experience an AI-supported multimedia exhibition. They also visited the Firenze campus to learn about their accessories design and multimedia arts programs. During Milan Fashion Week, they attended the White Show and saw emerging Chinese designer brands.

Paris: Fashion Industry Innovations
In Paris, the delegation visited Istituto Marangoni Paris to discuss potential collaborations, followed by a visit to ISAL Paris to sign a cooperation agreement.

The trip concluded with a visit to the IFM (Institut Français de la Mode) to discuss the future of knitwear fashion design education.
The team also attended Paris Fashion Week, including the 2025 SS show by Chinese designer Ying XIONG.
This visit has helped SIFEC strengthen ties with key international institutions, expanding opportunities for its students. SIFEC will continue to promote global collaboration and elevate the influence of Chinese fashion education.
