Shanghai Textile Industry Workers' College

Founded in 1955, Shanghai Textile Industry Workers' College (Brand Name SIFEC, abbreviation for Shanghai International Fashion Education Center) is an independent adult higher education institution approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government and registered with the Ministry of Education of China, focusing on talent development in Economic Management, Engineering Technology as well as Art & Design. Located along the Suzhou Creek, our campus enjoys a pleasant environment, convenient transportation, and comprehensive teaching facilities. We currently offer four diploma-level programs: Fashion & Costume Design, Business Administration, Public Affairs Management, and Image Design.By integrating leading global educational resources, SIFEC provides high-quality Chinese language & foundation education, helping international students progress smoothly to undergraduate studies at Chinese universities.

Affiliated with Orient International (Holding) Co., Ltd., SIFEC leverages OIH's complete textile and apparel industry chain to build a distinctive fashion education brand of itself. SIFEC maintains close partnerships with key industry organizations, including Shanghai Textile Association, Shanghai Fashion Association, Shanghai Fashion Designers Association, Shanghai Fashion Week Organizing Committee, boasting its membership of International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes. It has established cooperative programs with institutions such as Istituto Marangoni (Italy) and EAC (France), and maintains long-term partnerships with Parsons (USA), MOD'SPE (France), Sydney Polytechnic Institute, the University of East Anglia, and the University of Wollongong.

II. Program Introduction
This program is designed for international students planning to pursue undergraduate studies in China in disciplines including Literature, Law, Education, History, Philosophy, Arts, and Journalism & Communication. Through one year of foundation study, students will improve their Chinese language proficiency, academic foundations, and intercultural communication skills to meet admission requirements for above-listed Arts & Humanities-related programs at Chinese universities.

Target Applicants: Individuals aged 16 or above with a high school diploma or higher qualification, good academic performance, sound physical and mental health, and a valid foreign passport with more than one year of remaining validity.
Teaching Mode: On-site
Location: Building F, No. 652 Changshou Road, Putuo, Shanghai
Intake: September (Fall Semester) & March (Spring Semester) each year
Class Schedule: 5 days per week, 4–6 class hours per day
Program Duration: One academic year

III. Curriculum & Study Hours
1. Curriculum Structure
Our foundation program mainly includes four categories of courses:
Language Courses: Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening & Speaking, HSK Preparation, etc.
Academic Courses: Mathematics for Humanities, Chinese for Arts & Humanities, etc.
Cultural Courses: Chinese Culture Lectures, Poetry Recitation, Chinese Character Culture, etc.
Practical Courses: Language Practice, Cultural Immersion and Practice, University Admission Guidance, etc.

2.Study Hours
26 class hours per week for a total of 32 weeks.

V. Program Fees
1. Application Fee: CNY 500 (non-refundable)
2. Tuition Fee: CNY 35,000 per academic year
3. Accommodation Fee: CNY 100–300 per day (on-campus)
4. Textbook Fee: Charged according to actual costs
*On-campus accommodation and dining facilities are available and may be selected as needed.

VII. Completion Requirements
Students who complete all foundation courses, achieve passing grades or above, and strictly comply with Chinese laws and university regulations during their studies may apply for program completion. Those who do not meet the completion requirements may apply to continue into the next study period, with tuition fees charged according to the current year's admissions regulations.
