This course is designed for learners who wish to study Chinese Language while gaining a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture and contemporary fashion. Differing from general Chinese language courses offered by other universities, Shanghai International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC) draws on its strong fashion industry background to offer a distinctive 「Fashion Chinese」 module, allowing students to naturally acquire commonly used terminology and expressions from the fashion industry while learning the language; The 「Culture Course」 module builds on traditional Chinese arts such as calligraphy and painting, while also incorporating textile- and fashion-themed handicraft activities that reflect SIFEC's distinctive educational approach.

Shanghai Textile Industry Workers' College (Brand name Shanghai International Fashion Education Center, "SIFEC"), founded in 1955, is an independent adult higher education institution approved by the Shanghai Municipal Government and registered with the Ministry of Education of China. SIFEC focuses on cultivating professionals in economic management, engineering, and art and design.
