This summer, the 2025 International Summer Camp, hosted at Shanghai International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC) campus in collaboration with China Campus Network (CCN), successfully brought together 23 students from Russia and Mexico for an immersive journey into Chinese culture and fashion.
Chinese language and culture served as the foundation of the program, providing students with an immersive learning experience. Through practical communication exercises and cultural themes such as the zodiac and traditional songs, participants built a solid linguistic and cultural grounding for their journey in China.
To further enrich the experience, SIFEC introduced a creative draping workshop that unveiled the essence of the fashion industry. Drawing on the strong resources of Orient International Group, the program combined introductory theory with hands-on practice, enabling students with no prior background to discover the innovation and craftsmanship that define contemporary fashion.
Outside the classroom, students also visited cultural landmarks and experienced elements of Shanghai’s rich traditions and modern vitality, gaining a vivid impression of the city.
The
diverse curriculum of the summer camp not only deepened students’ understanding
of Chinese language, culture, and fashion, but also showcased China’s
modernization and creative power. Its successful completion enhanced
international students’ awareness of China’s social, economic, and cultural
development, while inspiring greater interest in studying and innovating in
China. Committed to international education, SIFEC will continue to expand
global engagement. As a qualified institution to enroll international students
and a proud member of the International Foundation of Fashion Technology
Institutes (IFFTI), SIFEC actively collaborates with leading fashion schools
and industry partners worldwide to cultivate professionals with global vision
and creative strength.
