In
response to China’s Belt and Road Initiative and to deepen global educational
exchange, a delegation from the University of Wollongong Malaysia (UOW
Malaysia), led by Dr. HAN Huimin (Academic Vice President) and LIANG Qiao (International
Market Executive), visited Shanghai International Fashion Education Center
(SIFEC) on July 3, 2025. They were warmly received by XU Tianyu (SIFEC Vice
President) and LIU Yanfang (Dean of SIFEC International School), followed by
in-depth discussions on collaborative international education programs.

The
visit aimed to advance a joint diploma in Business Management program,
offering Chinese students a hybrid learning model combining domestic study and
international certification. The program will leverage UOW Malaysia’s advanced
curricula, allowing students to complete part of their studies locally while
accessing global educational resources.
Key discussions covered curriculum design, teaching management, quality assurance, and student support services, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. During the campus tour, the delegation commended SIFEC’s teaching facilities and progress in internationalization.

This
visit marks a new phase in SIFEC-UOW collaboration. Both parties plan to expand
partnerships, creating a high-quality global education platform to empower Chinese students to
cultivate international competencies in a local learning environment.
