On May 29, 2025, a student and faculty delegation from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), State University of New York, USA, visited Shanghai International Fashion Education Center (SIFEC). The group was warmly received by Sophia Liu, Dean of SIFEC International School, along with SIFEC faculty and students.

During the exchange, Sophia introduced SIFEC's academic structure, course offerings, and strong industry integration. She highlighted SIFEC's innovative approach to merging education with real-world fashion practices, which sparked great interest from the FIT guests. Professor Dong from FIT then shared insights into FIT's teaching strengths and global industry connections. The visit also featured an engaging student dialogue, where participants from both schools reflected on their academic experiences and explored topics like curriculum differences and career aspirations.

Following the campus exchange, the FIT group toured Istituto Marangoni Shanghai School and Shanghai Fashion Week Committee office. FIT students expressed admiration for China's fast-evolving fashion industry and showed strong interest in SIFEC's programs and resources.

As members of the International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes (IFFTI), FIT and SIFEC aim to strengthen academic ties and foster continued global collaboration.
