SIFEC (Shanghai International Fashion Education Center), located in the fashion capital-Shanghai and approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, is an independent adult college with a history of more than 70 years and focuses on the training of educational talents in the fashion industry.

SIFEC is an IFFTI (International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes) member, and has established extensive cooperation with more than ten famous design schools around the world such as Istituto Marangoni (Italy) and EAC (France) to conduct Sino-foreign cooperation programs.

SIFEC has maintained long-term cooperation with PARSONS and FIT in the United States, MMU in the United Kingdom, MOD'SPE in France, and Bunka Fashion College in Japan. Through resource sharing and mode innovation, SIFEC has promoted the formation of professional fashion education with characteristics, scale and heritage, and cultivated new talents in the fashion industry.

The International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes (IFFTI) is an international authoritative organization in the fashion educational sector, founded on 14th October 1999 in New Delhi, India. It is dedicated to promoting education and research in fashion design, technology, business and related industries. Not limited to developing and utilizing the effective resources of its members, IFFTI is committed to contributing to the development of global fashion, and IFFTI's institutional members meet annually for annual international conferences, exchange of bilateral/multilateral co-operation agreements and a wide range of professional development activities.

The IFFTI membership currently consists of 55 organizations in 22 countries and regions.

SIFEC owns the "Shanghai Fashion Industry Theme Library", which is jointly built with the Shanghai Library. The library is the only one themed on fashion industry in China. Aiming at the forefront of the development of the international fashion industry, it presents the most authoritative fashion information at home and abroad to readers in a timely manner.
